IEC Hazardous Area Application
The installation of electric motors where flammable products are continuously handled, processed or storage, must comply with the most demanded safety standards in order to guarantee protection of life, machines and environment – so trust IMAG and WEG for high performance and total safety/reliability – product range is as follows:
Atex Non Sparking Motors
W22XnCD Premium Efficiency – IE2 and IE3 (Ex nA IIC T3 Gc/Ex tc IIIB T125°C Dc).
Ex nA (Non-Sparking) + Ex tc (Protection by Enclosure) motors at the W22 platform, featuring Premium Efficiency -IE2 and IE3 levels performance.
The installation of electric motors where a flammable mixture is not frequently present but may represent risks, must comply with the most demanding safety standards for life protection, machines and environment. Following to the highest safety standards WEG Ex nA/Ex tc motors are flexible to adapt to various applications allowing your company agility during installation, easy operation, low maintenance cost and safety.
Flameproof Motors
The W22Xd line represents all that is most modern in rotating equipment for explosive atmospheres. As a result of intense research and development, WEG launches its new flameproof motor line, the W22Xd, a complete range of hazardous area machines in IEC frames 71 to 1000 and, upon request, in NEMA designs to suit the requirements of the North American and Canadian markets.
Incorporating the same innovative concepts of the W22 General Purpose motor range, the W22Xd line is an evolution in the market of classified area products offering high efficiency levels, energy saving, low operational costs, extended lifetime, low maintenance and assured safety!
Dust Ignition Proof Motors
The W22Xtb motor has been specially designed to maximize safety and quality of motors apllied in explosive atmospheres – Zone 21 (grain processing, cereals, textile fibers, powder coating, polymers, etc).
Reliability and safety is ensured at the presence of conductive dust suspension (cloud) or dust layer (up to 5 mm), according to IEC standards.
